HI Terrance, I am green too. I switched to the T connection instead of the needle [having troulbe with it] but I placed the T into the water itself and it solved my problem with bubbles going the wrong way. My air pump is above the water levil to prevent water draining back into it. With the lines running down into the water it works for me. I shut it off sometimes, to work on something, then back on. I hope this makes sense the way I explained it. Experiment with it. But make sure no water can drain into any electricity. Sylvia
I have had this issue with mine, the solution seems to be in a finesse between all the constituent factors, T-Lift height in ralation to water, tubing length, air pump pressure, etc…. I have been able to just fiddle with it until it works correctly…Once its all dialed in it should hum like NASCAR
