300g begre som Tine bruker til f.eks cottage cheese passer nesten perfekt i 1.5l flasker, men trenger en liten runde med sandpapir rundt kanten øverst.

300g cottage cheece containers from Tine fits almost perfectly in 1.5l soda bottles, but needs a trivial amount of sanding. -

Drilling a few holes should work OK. Try many small holes instead of a few large ones, though. It may keep the roots in place a little better. But be careful so you don’t shatter the plastic.
The cups in the WF design is there to keep the pellets together and make it possible to lift the plant out of the WF. If it can also stop the roots from growing outside, that’s a bonus, but I doubt you have that fine drills…
