    Hi Zack,

Did you set up a small system? If so how is it working? I would like to do the same.

I just learned about Windowfarms and am looking forward to building one after Christmas. I am wondering about temperature. I only heat my house with a gas fireplace, I don’t have a furnace, and while I am at work it gets down to about 50 degrees maybe even a little colder at the windows. Do I need to keep the temp a little higher?

I’d say that 50 is a bit on the cold side. A lot of plants will stop growing at those temperatures, and having the cold period during the day(I assume you work normal hours) is also not good as the plants will be less able to use the sunlight.

That is something I am trying to work out as well. If you have plenty of space you could look into a hydroponics solution that is away from the windows. Or build something that is away from the glass.
