Can anyone make a skypecall on wednesday. We are from Copenhagen and seek advice on how to do this with little light, that is; LED lights? I heard Finland has experience with this.

I thought about headhunting one of the best innovative and experienced window farmers and then he/she could guide us through a comprehensive FAQ and Q & A via Skype at a scheduled pre-planned time, live from California horay:-) That is; we meet at Thomas´ place or maybe Islands Brygge and do the meeting + the skype – we will have to find the person extraordinaire in question who can guide us.
A) Best seeds
B) Best materials
C) How to do it with little light – LED or broadspectred bulbs (UV) – (finland has competency)
D) What to avoid, pitfalls and errors
E) Quick set-up guideThomas! Do you have TV with HDMI (not that it is necessary)? PC/Mac would also do (to do the skype while we are at your place (or elsewhere in CPH)

Nej, daunting tror jeg ikke det er, hvis bare én eneste person her i DK-gruppen (vedkommende med mest erfaring) ville stå frem og vise os vejen, men måske er der ikke nogen spydspids endnu….?
Jeg selv er også totalt grøn og blank og derfor har jeg efterlyst kommunikation men so far no result. Ville have troet at de ældste i denne gruppe har erfaringer men det hele syntes dødt her (i Sverige er der over 90 mennesker i gruppen) – min frustration tager til…æv

Probably not that far ahead with the window farming yet, what pumps to buy? What bottles work? I’m thinking those two liters Cocacola bottles, or are they too big? What nutrient to get and where to get it? it all seems pretty daunting 8-(

Jamen så er det da bare at få nogle tricks fra svenskerne, de er jo meget som os, så hvis der er nogen som har bygget noget derovre, kan vi sikkert også finde de samme puper herhjemme, det er vel det største problem som jeg ser det.
Jeg er klar på at danne en ”lad os kaste os ud i det, selvom vi ikke har nogen erfaring” taskforce!
Så hvad mangler vi?
First off, language… Do we communicate in Danish or English (Any English speaking individuals in this group, who would prefer that we use english when communicating?)
Second, et kickoff fyraftensmøde i næste uge måske? Hvor vi danner et overblik over, hvad man skal bruge af materialer og går i gang med at planlægge indhentning af disse. Jeg kan godt afholde mødet.
Well I’m trying to learn Danish so for me it’s a good practice to read and write. But for others that may be a barrier to join the conversation, so I don’t really know.

How about we keep it English for the time beeing until more people have given their 2 cents about the language thing.
But lets get a ”First build thread” going. I won’t be doing anything before the middle of next week. But I’l defininately keep you posted when I start collecting materials.
Well, perhaps I’ll be coming to Copenhagen during the winter holidays, so if someone of the group will be there, it would be possible to meet and have a talk or something.

I reckon you’re from abroad, since you mentioned that you are in the process of learning the Danish language. In that case, welcome. I hope you enjoy your stay here, and i’m curious to hear more. Where you from, are you studying, working etc etc?
It would be cool to try to translate the assembly instructions to Danish. Maybe we can organise that task between us if you are up for it.

Skype thing sounds awsome if someone is up for it. Alternatively we could just follow the comprehensive guidelines already provided here on the site.
The guiding Im looking for specifically is where to buy the proper materials and equipment in Denmark (cheap airpum with a regulator etc.)
I have both mac and internet connection (whoa!) so we can easily do the skype thing from my place, if a meeting is setup.
