Would this replace the timer for the pump and the lights?

In reply to - offlogic posted an update in the group Sensors and Controllers: My interest is in green walls and minimalist, bare-bones pump control loops. Have some CMOS water sensors adapted for minimum size/power requirements (years on a battery, forever on solar cell), currently optimizing for DIY surface mount circuit oards (no drilling). · View

So I opted not to spend $100 on 10 plastic water bottles that were already painted.  But because the idea of searching far and wide in dumpsters, or haggling with “plastic bottle collectors” I bought 12 1.5L Poland Spring bottles for $15 in chinatown.  I know it’s not recycled, because I wouldn’t have bought these [...]

Got my kit last week, and I’ve finished scrounging bottles. Actually I cheated and bought a case of 12 1.5L Poland Spring bottles in chinatown for $15. I have extras, if anyone needs.

Does anyone have a tip about how to get the glue off the bottles? Soap doesn’t do it very well, and nail polish remover would probably just burn a hole through the whole bottle.

      Hey Pete,

Hope this note finds you in the best of spirits.

My name is Graham Meriwether, and I’m part of Leave It Better. We’re about to build 6 Windowfarm kits in two schools in New York. You mentioned you have some Poland Spring Bottles left over. We’d love to use them to recycle and save some cost.

Thanks in advance for your generosity!

Idk about the glue, maybe warm water? if you get desperate go to a hardware store and get Goof-Off. you’ll probably cover it up with paint or duct tape anyway. Let me know what works, I’m still scrounging for bottles myself. I foud some 1.5 liter bottles but they’re not Poland Springs and they’re too thick. Oh well, just keep on keeping on!
