Hi Brian, thanks for the video link. It helped me explain things to my boyfriend. Yes, the tubing is .25 I.D., so it will work well. I’ll be sure to rinse out the tubing before hand too.

So, this has been a focus for me over the last few weeks, thinking through how to set everything up.  So, based on what everyone has been sharing, the following ideas have been put together… Setting up the column(s).  I would prefer not to suspend it from the ceiling.  I think the metal columns look [...]

After reviewing the instructions, and attempting to sort out the differences between the kits sold and the instructions, it seems the lighting portion is missing from the kits. After viewing Rama’s double, it appears s/he is not using lights either.  So, this is a bit confusing to sort out.  Also, no mention of the washers [...]

Hi Gruener, I don’t have experience growing flowers in the windowfarm yet. However, there are a lot of edible flowers that should do well and not require a lot of care. Some particularly pretty flowers are garlic chives, fuscha, violas (wittrockiana only), johnny jump ups, primula vulgaris, pisum pea blossoms, and snap dragons. I’m excited to try the fushca!

In reply to - gruener daumen posted an update in the group Beautiful Windowfarms : Hey! I just set up my new windowfarm and for simply winning over my girlfriend it has to look less functional and more of an object you’d want in your room. So first of all I bought some colourful duct tape and made it a little more [...] · View

I have a container gardening website and was very excited to get started with the window farms. It looks perfect for managing and rotating salad vegetables indoors in front of our big window. I plan to post the progress here, on my blog and other social pages. Parceled Gardens includes information about edible plants that can be grown in containers in the Phoenix, Arizona low desert climate. This area is considered Sunset zone 13, USDA zone 9 and/or 10 and AHS Heat Zone 10.
