    @Owen, thanks for the advice. In fact, I’ve noticed that since the hot weather started the plants seem to be growing much faster (both indoors and outdoors), even though the amount of light hours hasn’t changed significantly. Maybe it wasn’t such a great idea to leave the window ajar next to the windowfarm.

    @Owen – I find the photochemistry of plants very confusing, there seem to be several photo-active chemicals a & b Chlorophyll, b Carotene, Phycoerithrin.. each with one or two spectral peaks.
