Thanks Ken, I think I decided that the South East Window would be the best. =) I haven’t gotten all the equipment to build my windowfarm yet…but working on it =)
Silly questions…for someone who has never really built anything big before, is this a difficult project?? o.O
Thank U for your help!!

Hello there! Good Question! I was wondering that myself =)
Someone posted that the clay pellets can be found at any local Nursery…but I wonder where can you find a pump?
Maybe at an Aquarium / Pet Shop?? Hmmm…?In reply to - D. Preston Rogers posted an update in the group Japan: Hello everyone: We are getting started with our school window farm and wondered if anyone could recommend a good pump and clay, etc. and from which stores. Thanks: Darrel · View -
Hello everyone!!
I’m really happy that theres a group in Japan for Window Farms (^^)I read up about WIndow farming and wanted to try to make my own, but was worried that I’d be on my own and wouldn’t know how to put it together or where to find any of the materials…
I’m gonna start on making a window farm after the New Year =)
One small question…
I have two big windows and wondering which one to set-up my yummy veggies.
A South-East facing window, and a South-west window…which one is better?よろしくお願いします~(^^)

hello kat. have you ever found a shop in Tokyo that sells hardware for windowfarming? i am in desperate need of Hydrotons.
Hi, I live near Tokyo. I put my windowfarm facing South, and have good results so far. Just see which window gets more light each day.

The most difficult part for me was cutting the holes at the bottom of the bottles, since I didn’t have my drill with me I used an Xacto. If you have a drill it shouldn’t be a problem though. If you’ve assembled IKEA furniture before, you should be able to manage this project. Start with the easier v.2 if you’re still not sure.
