I might do that and try some different easy salad greens next, however why do you say to stop using the peroxide, I have only heard good things about it, not only is it good for the plants but it stops mold and bacteria from growing?

The water that I am using has been through a britta water filter and they have been in the WF for probably between 1-1.5 months, and i changed the water reservoir completely about halfway so far.
