I just joined this group and am about to start building a window farm in boulder. If anyone in town has a system up and running, I’d love to check it out and bounce some ideas around before I start.

Hi, I just started my windowfarm project! I’m a Sustainable Urban Environments student at NYU Poly in Downtown Brooklyn. I’m trying to build a 3 plant system for my dorm room and if all goes well, I’m hoping to get the Residence director to help me make a community system for a whole floor of the dorms. I just went to Brooklyn Farms (http://shop.bkfarms.com/) which was really helpful. they had all i needed and the guy working there had actually tried to build a window farm a few times, so he knew some tips. next I’m off to the hardware store and I guess Petco for the air pump. I’m planning on growing leafy plants like bok choy and mint first. does anyone recommend any place for getting seeds or seedlings for that kind of stuff?
