Ik heb ze zelf ook niet kunnen vinden. Uiteindelijk heb ik gekozen om van die plastic wegwerpbekertjes te gebruiken en daar met een klein boortje een aantal gaatjes in te boren. Werkt tot nu toe goed!

Brian I think you’re right – that should probabely do the trick. However, since I’m lazy by nature I’m gonna go with my current set-up and see where it get’s me!

Hi Andre,
You’re asking your question in English so that’s how I’ll reply.
For me no smells whatsoever.
My main problem is with the nutrition as well. At first I used too much I guess, my strawberryplant leafs started to turn brown. Now I’m experimenting with Pokon.
The airpump produces quite a bit of noise. Fortunately it’s on a timer and only switches on every now and again.
My biggest ’problem’ during the build was the frame. I finally made a contraption of an old curtain rod that was stable enough. From then on just followed the plans. I’ve modified my first version to hold 3 more pots. The airlift works quite fine actually.

On the other hand, the bottles I’ve used contained soda drinks. I imagine them being safe. I can’t really think of a good reason why refilling a water bottle should be avoided…

One of our cats ignores the WF – like he does with most of the world around him, the other likes to drink from the resevoir. So I made sure the opening of the water resevoir was too small for her to fit her head into. Until now they haven’t tried to eat the plants [...]

It turned out to be a lot less work than expected and building was fun. Currently I’m trying to grow some strawberries. I actually made one needle point upwards and one needle point downwards (mine are located roughly 4 cm from the end of the tube). This seems to work best for me after having tried different variations.

In eerste instantie gebruikte ik een pvc-pijp (zo’n gele gebruikt voor electrische draden) maar die boog wat om. Nu heb ik een oude gordijnrails gebruikt en op maat gezaagd.
Ik denk dat een vishengel te flexibel is en dat je die beter niet kunt gebruiken.

Tot nu toe ben ik E20 kwijt aan een luchtpompje, twee ventielen en bezorgkosten via Aquapet.nl. En zo ’n E5,- aan een spuitbusje verf.
Overige spulletjes – frisdrankflessen, tiewraps, slangetjes, naaldnippels en pvc-pijp had ik nog liggen.
Morgen ga ik nog even langs de Intratuin om te zoeken naar kleikorrels.
