I ended up using a Soldering Iron to make all my cuts/holes. at times it went very slow but much safer than that hole saw.

I have mine running 15mins on and 15mins off – 24/7. I’m pretty sure I saw it in the documentation:

I really like the root cover idea. Although I think just using the aluminum tape strips would have been enough without the extra layer of electrical tape.
