I am a high school teacher/librarian hoping to have multiple windowfarms in our school library next year. Anyone have a system up and running that you would be willing to let me visit/ask questions about? Thanks!

Ive been toying with the idea of starting a four column farm and I am finally taking the plunge. Going to the hardware store today to see what I can find as far as supplies. Im usually not hesitant about diving in when it comes to DIY and building anything really, but I am a bit anxious about the complexity of the plumbing system. That makes it all the more exciting though

Automation of hydroponics is my particular interest. I have been building a system for some years now. I use an array of sensors and have associated software for moitoring and adjusting various environmental and nutrient parameters. My software is freely available and supports the popular Phidget and Arduino hardware platforms. I hope it will be of some use for Windowfarmers.
