Hello Rebecca,
I am not in your area, but being a fellow Canadian I can recommend two places to get supplies.
The first is going to be Home Depot. And the second will be any aquarium supply store near you.
Home depot will have all the wood, tubing and other fittings available. The aquarium store will have the pumps and remaining supplies.
We are in the same process now, have found most of what I need at Quick grow on edmonton trail NE. Pumps, baskets and clay pellets, nutrients etc.
