Hey all, just joined and have no idea what I’m doing but hopefully that will change. I’m in Williamsburg near McCarren Park with plenty of windows in my place to set this thing up. Any ideas where I can get some of the stuff needed to get started?

I recommend taking a trip to Carol Gardens/Gowanus/Park Slope for a one-stop set-up shopping afternoon. Riding your bike down is the way to do. Start by hitting this place for all your hydro needs:

Nearby, you’ve got Lowes, a hardware store on Court and 1st, and a pet/aquarium shop up on 5th ave and 14th street. Between all those, you can be geared up in a couple of hours. I just did that today.
Yeah I second bk farms, I listened to Greg and bike there this weekend. the guy working there had actually tried to make a windowfarm once or twice so he knew what we needed. I still need to get tubing and the actual plants, but I got all my hydroponic stuff here. for the tubing I plan to go to Canal Rubber in Chinatown. I’ll post an update if I get what I need
