I was hoping I could just make a little cover and slip it on. Thanks again for sharing your techniques!

Ah ha! yes I though it looked like crochet but a friend of mine a few months ago was doing this thing where she was that of knotting and spranging around a bottle so I thought that might have been what you did. So one more question – Do you crochet then slip it on [...]

I read & read & read a bunch more and I think what I need to do first is try to experiment just with reservoirs, the pump, and tube configurations. I pretty much understand all the plant stuff already. So this payday I’ll try to get the pump and some tubing and see if I can figure out the works. I’m a kinetic learner so this should help, however, any input from others is always welcome. I just can’t wait to get to the point where I have the thing made and plants are growing. Anyhoo, a journey begins with one step. (^_^)

I am just curious. Is this [...]

For Beginners: 11 months, 1 week ago · ViewThis question may have already been answered somewhere on the forums but I have not been able to find it. I’m in research mode right now trying to decide what materials to use, getting a budget together, and trying to figure out where to scavenge parts. I haven’t ever owned fish or an aquarium or a fountain and so all the chatter about the airlift tubing, t-values, air needles, and tube adapters is confusing me. (6_6) sigh! Where do I buy this stuff and … I don’t know if anyone can answer this but what’s the best way to figure out how to configure? I’m going back to combing the forum but if anyone can help a noobie out, I would be much obliged. Thanks. (^_^)
