Okay,
Round one is up and running. Followed the PDF very closely and have made only a couple small modifications. Silencer works great, and running an inch or two of tubing through the cap of each bottle to feed more tightly into the roots is a good move. Couple stupid newbie questions for someone out there.
1. air pump systems runs 24/7, no? If so, are the valve traps necessary?
2. when topping off the reservoir–seems like an every 3rd day event–do I use the same concentration of nutrient solution as the original fill? Seems like the water would evaporate first so I want to avoid too much food in the H2O! Maybe buying an EC meter would answer that question?
