1 year, 10 months ago · ViewHey guys, thanks for the comments. After I wrote the post, I took out the dead plants. And sure enough, I found mould on the wooden sticks I used to suspend the beans. So, I will give the whole system a thorough clean and keep in mind not to use these sticks anymore.

I did have mine outside at first (http://our.windowfarms.org/2011/04/06/new-windowfarm-in-zurich/). As the weather got cooler for a few days I moved it inside. Yes, there are winds blowing from time to time, but I only took it out that far for the pics. I’m hanging it from a hook right by the wall for protection. -

Hi all
Just completed my first windowfarm in Zurich, Switzerland. It’s on my sunny balcony for now and sports strawberries so far. More seedlings are on the way for the next column. Excited!

New Pictures: I took some more pictures of my farm as it’s evolved. The reservoir, airlift and lighting are the biggest changes. I also included some detailed shots of materials I’ve used.
