Laurel, how are you using the hot glue gun? I never had to use any kind of glue. What I was doing was using the heat from the blow dryer to shrink the plastic bottle around the center. I suppose if your hair dryer does not get hot enough, it may not work. I tested [...]

Wai, I think that would work fine so as long as you put enough holes through out it. If you are doing it as a way to recycle, then great! Otherwise, net cups are fairly inexpensive.

I bought the kit from the Window Farms’ site, sans water bottles. The kit came with net cups.

Not sure if this has been discussed… It is my understanding that the reason Nestle’s brands of water bottles are used is because they accommodate the netcups.
