it should be reminiscant of a percolating coffee maker. but, make sure you have a deep reservior and run the drip for a fair bit of time t make up for the miniscule drip.

i put mine further down the system, i found the check valve fit better into the air hose than the needle. the order is needle-hose-check valve-hose-pump. oh, and lots of hot glue/sealant around the hole in the lid.

if you are only building one column, then yes. my beta test system yas just a single pump. the multi manifold pumps come into play when you are feeding muliple strings.

get different grow lights. if they’re producing that much heat, they’re eating a lot of lectricity. plants only need two colors in the spectrum; red and blue. invest in some cooler colred flourescents or LED’s.

each column has it’s own nutrient source. you’re goos to go. one thing you’ll want to consider is spacing between columns to allow for plant bloom and room for harvesting.
