Hej igen.
Du kunne evy støbe i plast.

    Hi again Bobby
I know that. Had that problem in my fish-tank-system and placed an airpump in the aquarium – just in case. I didn´t clean it and after a month it started to work by it self again. Some of the problem was air-build-up at the top in some of the hoses I use, which stalled the waterflow.

Eggshells and coffee/tea I´ve been using for years – and shells from the beach too.
Dried seaweed is also very good!

    Best Regards
    Peter

Hi- I´m on making my own nutrients. Sounds like a great idea. Are planning to use aquarium-water for a start but will get some worms too.
In a video about growing spirulina I saw one who just placed a sack with straw in a tank through which the water ran in the system. This gave off both carbondioxide an other nutrients as it decayed.

cool idea, I haven’t heard of that before. Take extra precaution when you’re cleaning your system out- with all that decomposition, you may be bound to get backed up in your systems plumbing.

btw, what i’ve found to work for my winter plants is to have decomposed coffee and egg shells mixed with 5 ml ammonia (5% approx)- I’ve also thrown in some organic fertilizer i found in my garage (hmm). anyways, it’s been doing wonders even for the cold on cleveland, oh.

      best of luck,

Cyanobacteria fixes nitrogen into the media. My friend is working on research to process them into biofuels.

You could make some kind of system like this:
    http://wiki.biologigaragen.org/index.php/Projects
    (The aquarium-pump under “Ecology”)
It has been running for more than 20 months now!

    Best regards

Maybe it´s just me, but I would NEVER use aluminum in contact with water for any kind of plants/aquariums. Aluminum will replace magnesium whiich is essential in clorophyl! Further, it will accumulate in your body and is considered toxic.
