@Britta: Good to hear from you. If you need a programmer or moderator (to delete spam, pleaaaaase lemme lemme lemme delete the spam!! ;-> ), i’m a part-time programmer, part-time looking for cool projects, currently a beginning windowfarmer and open source enthousiast.

Britta would be the one to try and get a hold of. @admin or @britta

In reply to - James Newton posted an update in the group Wordpress/BuddyPress Programmers Needed for Version 2 : I’ve just joined WindowFarms and the local group for my home town. I have some experience with developing sites using WordPress, and I noticed some issues with the registration process that I might be able to help with. I see that there was [...] · View

I am hoping Britta ( @Britta) can she some info on the top area. Pumps and timers can be purchased from Home Depot, Hydroponic Stores and Aquarium/Pet stores. Power is regular AC. They have the same power requirements we have up here in Canada. Works out to about 8/year (I have seen this on another post). [...]

Good question for the Windowsfarms team (@windowfarms, @britta)

  • Hardware Junkie posted a new activity comment:   3 months, 2 weeks ago · View

I checked and your account is the same as everybody elses.
Someone else had this issue a month back and it seemed to work itself out after 24-48 hours.
If not, I’d email Britta (@britta) directly.

Hey @admin, @britta do you know the Petcos pumps are going away?

  • Hardware Junkie commented on the blog post Why are air lift systems chosen over submersed pumps?   11 months, 1 week ago · View

The windowfarms team has a pile of pumps apparently in a corner somewhere. @Britta – you should take a pic if you still have them.

@britta on Dec 29: I’m glad to see you are planning to move to a different platform. The blog+comments system is unable to keep the content in a form whre one can find the important information, BUT: I’ve seen forum based approaches on similar smaller projects, that were better than this site, but not a real [...]

Hey @britta I just created a post at http://our.windowfarms.org/2011/01/16/shower-curtain-rod-wf-w2l-bottles/ but it is in never-never land. When I posted it it gave me an error that I was not authorized to use a certain category. I think it was the ”made from scratch” one. It shows up in the general ”no filter” list. If you click on it from there, you get a page not found error. It does not even show up in my list of posts so I can not even edit it again to fix it. Is it lost and I have to recreate it or can someone there fix it?

@britta Getting back to you. After it starts, I really do not get any air going back into the resevoir. I can run the Petco pump at any rate and none goes back into the resevoir. It actually work best and is most quiet when the pump runs at the lowest setting. At the low setting, [...]

I’m hanging with clear plastic thread – just like fishing line, but slightly less strong. Since this post (and I’m annoyed that there’s over a month of delay – @britta, how can I make this faster?) I’ve turned all the basil in the top into pesto, and it grew back again (and more). Also, the lettuces [...]

Sorry, should have tagged @admin and @britta above.

In reply to - Adrian Thornton posted an update in the group Wordpress/BuddyPress Programmers Needed for Version 2 : Hey there! Excited to be getting involved in Window Farms. @britta, I bet your could crowdsource a lot of that writing / editing / formatting work, too. The how-to section seems like a natural fit for a wiki format – you may already be moving that direction..

@britta I’ve seen those Tees at home depot, they always seem to be near the spools of hose. I don’t think they really have any normal use, just vinyl hose tees… what is the normal use for vinyl hose? I use it a lot, but not for anything I would call normal. @ajinil (Tony) That is a [...]

    @britta

Happy to volunteer some time to brainstorm new business model ideas and/or general strategy. I’ve got experience helping early-stage non-profits, as well as more traditional for-profit financial analysis. I’m in Bklyn all the time, so email me if you’d like to chat.

You’ve got a great thing going here – keep it up!
