I got mines from the hydroponic store in the next town over, after using mapquest online. I also saw the tubings at a pet store near the aquariums. Plenty on ebay, but I wanted to inspect the tubings and pick out the ones I felt was ok. Hope this helps.

Here is my Windowfarm 4 weeks later after transfering plants grown from seeds. They were grown in soil as seedlings and I washed all dirt off from roots 1 month later. They recovered from shock rather quickly. The nutrients I used or the first 3 weeks was Botanicare Pur Blend Pro grow. Now the are using [...] -

@Debby Yes. However I think itdepends on where or what you are hanging your Windowfarm. I have seen other Windowfarmers on this site successfully grow tomato plants. I’ve seen some incredible trellissing work because of it too. I have yet to see any broccoli plants grown in Windowfarms and since I love it, I am giving [...]

@sylviawoerner Thanks! My plants are in a south facing Window that get plenty of light despite being in an apartment building, in downtown Hartford, Connecticut. And if it’s not enough light, because of cloudy days such as these past few days, I have two “grow lights” in between the columns, that I leave on for 13 [...]

Arelys Fernandez commented on the blog post Can’t Find Nestle Product 1.5L Bottles! 7 months, 1 week ago · View
I use Poland Spring 1.5l bottles, but Nestle is their “mother” company, or something like that. I think the point is to try and use a bottle that have a similar shape as the Nestle water bottles, because it will hold the net cups (the cups in which your plants grow in) very well! The [...]

I have finally completed my windowfarm, and transferred my baby plants! So far it was neat watching the plants grow from seeds. I hope they bear fruit. I have 2 spinach plants, 2 different tomatoe plants, 3brocolli plants, and 3 mint plants, and 1 lettuce plant! I used the air T-lift system to get the water [...] -

Here is my modification to the bottle caps @karenwslp made. After several leaks, and a need to just pull the tubing free during reservoir cleaning, I came up with an improvement to the bottle caps. Oh and these caps are from Poland Spring sports watter bottles. Just in case you can’t read the steps: Step1) remove [...] -

I have no way of knowing, as I have cleaned everything out, and have started my seedlings again. While they grow I am going to repaint my bottles, and possibly purchase a book on hydroponics. Any hydroponic book selections anyone want to refer me to?

I just went through something similar, but it was this white film, not brownish. AND it prevented the flow of any water to come down from my reservoir to be pumped up on my t-lift system! I cleaned out the opaque tube, but did the mistake of not taking the time in cleaning out everything [...]

I am not an expert, but you should try using black tubes instead of clear tubes.

I love the colors of those buckets! This is the kind of design that I am looking for. Now if only there was a more stylish “reservoir”, i will be a happy girl!
