Public Group active 3 weeks, 1 day agoLet’s get windowfarms off the grid without endangering our plants during renewable energy downtime. Let’s do it cheaply and within as many space and compliance constraints of city windowfarmers. This may involve photovotaics or using heat/light to move liquid.

has someone tried the 12VDC airpump from walmart (Aqua Culture: 20-60 Gallon, Double Outlet Aquarium Air Pump) in combination with a small PV-Panel yet? Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any technical data of this pump so far, so I couldn’t crunch the numbers. Are there any experiences with that pump available?

You probably won’t be able to run the pump directly. Materials you will need:
– a pump
– battery
– charge controller
– solar panelIf you don’t use a battery, then your pump will not work when there on cloudy days or at night.
