Singapore Window farmers: 3 months, 3 weeks ago · ViewHi all,
I’ve just had my windowfarm shipped out from the states from the initial kickstarter programme. Looking forward to starting with it. In looking at the setup, I’m also toying with the ideas of a more functional ’starter kit’ from Singapore. Do let me know if anyone is interested and I’ll be happy to share further thoughts when I get started. -

Singapore Window farmers: 11 months, 1 week ago · ViewHi everyone, I have built a 5 row system currently in my workplace and would like to find out what alternative bottles and net cups other people are using in Singapore.
Please tell us what you are using. I’m trying to setup a system, got pump, one way valve, split, and tubing, but have not found a good connection to the ’reservoir’ to the tube.
I’m also struggling to find a netcup that will fit in a bottle, got netcups, but they way to big for a bottle.Hi Stefan, firstly, I built the 3.0 version. I used Pepsi bottles for the top 4 bottles, and a typical F&N one for the reservoir bottle. As for the netcup, I actually used a 8.5mm (#85) plastic garden pot instead. (There are holes at the bottom, don’t worry.) Found that these fit in the pepsi bottle nicely. I experimented with many different shapes and sizes of bottles but only found this combination to work because of the pepsi bottle’s slim design, I suppose. The pot sits just nice in it. If the diameter of the pot is too small for you, I have seen a slightly bigger example showcased at Changi City Point, Soup Spoon restaurant. I’m guessing they used Ice Mountain mineral water bottle, and a typical hydroponics netcup. They have rows and rows of it there. Sadly, I don’t think they’ve maintained it very well.
What do you mean when you say you have not found a good connection to the reservoir, to the tube?
I’m trying to do a v2.5, i.e. physical design with a single pole but with the v3 air lift (i.e. T junction and one way valve instead of the needles). I need a cap that I can connect the tubing from the air pump to the lowest water bottle. I.e. a cap that fits on a 1.5L coke bottle that also fits the tube that fits the air pump. Have not tried any shop yet, maybe easy, just not really sure where to look.
OK will try the garden pot, thanks!

Singapore Window farmers: 1 year ago · ViewHi everyone, quite excited to join the SG window-farming community! As I am just getting started, need some general advice on a local place to procure the plumbing accessories? I’ve picked up a dual-line aquarium pump but can’t seem to find the t-valves & the flow control valves and the tubings… Any ideas guys?
