I’m getting close to having my first window farm up. I used the Ikea Stolmen poles and shelves as the stucture of it. I got the air pump and tubing from petland but found a way cheaper place to get the tubing, Incredigrow. I just talked to Duncan down @ Incredigrow today; he’s a really nice guy and sells almost everything we’d need for our window farms. I also got the clay pellets from him and as a result I have an over abundance of them because of the size of the bad, so if anyone needs some feel free to contact me. I’ll be posting pictures of the finished farm soon.

Are there any people or organizations involved with Windowfarms near Edmonton? We are hosting a Sustainability fair the 8th and 9th of March and looking for exhibitors. Please message me if you know of anyone who may want to participate.

Hey everyone, I am from Red Deer and just joined the group. I am still researching and planning how I will go about structuring my garden. I live in a basement suite with only a couple small windows (approx 26” wide X 18” ht). The main one I am going to start on is in the kitchen. I is East facing, so receives the most light. Ill load pics later. The other one is in our spare bedroom, which has a West facing window with low light. I was thinking of trying some sort of mirror system or something that would reflect the light that passes through back onto the plants? I do not know if this would work? Any ideas?
