An Windowfarm with NO airpump.

I made this few days ago. This is the video of it. The water go with the string.
Making this is very easy(more than the one with airpumps).
1. Hang some bottles on the window.(1 bottles to store water(top), others for plants.)
2. Connect the bottles of plants and the top bottle with strings.
3. Put a bucket on the bottom.
4.the end (But when the water is all fallen, pour the water on the bottom one into the top one with your hand.)
It looks like this. You can change the water’s speed withe the string’s thickness.
I think you will eventually have trouble because algae will grow on the string and slow down or speed up everything. But who knows, only one way to find out for sure.

Thank you.
the video don’t work?
…and i got a following up question: how long does it take before the top-bucket is empty? I guess the answer is dependend on how big it is, but can you estimate?
You could use green airline hose ( not clear as that encourages algae ), and use a siphon to drop the water down as opposed to using capillary action. You can get things that control the siphon rate ( drops per minute ) from pet shops that sell fish. To stop the siphon breaking, use an airstone at the top, though they eventually clog up, and need to be cleaned.
