I´m new in this, why do you paint your bottles? Is it a technical way to do things? Could you give some advices now that I´m comming up with this new proyect?… I´m 20 and I´m from Mexico, & I want to know more because my girlfriend and I want to start this new lifestyle. :3
You need to protect the roots from sunlight. If you don´t want to paint you can use tape, knit or sew a cove. I paint because I think it looks best and I already had white color at home.
Good luck with your project I look forward to hear how it goes.
Is there another way to water the plants? I have to say that my economy right now is not the best, but I would like to know if there´s other way… More or less how much is the water pump? Let me know if you have some advices for me :3
Thanks!
@allenstravov I don´t know what an air pump costs in Mexico. Here in Sweden they can be quite expensive. But I bought mine in Uruguay on a market, where it costed less than $ 9. Check in pet stores or if someone is selling second hand maybe you can find a cheap pump.
One more tip, next time you have a question read some forum threads first before you ask. Chances are that someone already asked the question and that someone else already answered it.

If it still is too expensive, there are ways to water without an air pump. Look what others have done in the community:
