Nutrient Question
1:27 pm in How-Tos, Nutrients, Nutrition by Laura
Hello All,
I have been using the nutrients that came with the kit- Botanicare Pure Blend ProGrow 2-3-5. My plants were doing great and growing well. They all just kinda of stopped now. Not doing bad (yet), just haven’t grown much more. My green beans produced, my pepper plant has been flowering but nothing has been growing, and my greens seem to be stagnant.
Anyways…do I need to switch or add different nutrients? I don’t really know much about them, and ideally I’m looking for something that I could just order online. Any recommendations on what nutrients to use would be appreciated!
Laura
You normally switch nutrients for growing and fruiting. What you got seams to be a nutrient for growth (as mentioned in the name) there is something similar called: Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Bloom which can be found at amazon.

@Laura-
Georg is correct. Those nutrients are for the early stages of plant life and for plants that you don’t want to fruit, like lettuce. These are called “vegetative” stage plants.
If you are wanting to grow fruiting and flowering plants, we consider that “Level 2.” Congrats! You’ve graduated!
You will need to get the bloom phase nutrients. We will open up the windowfarms store and sell the full range of nutrients and supplements again next month. If you need to refill in the meantime, Botanicare sells their products all over the web.
I would also check your pH. It sounds like it may be off if you are not getting good growth on your lettuce.
Best of luck and happy farming!
