Can using plastic bottles be toxic?

Please help me understand if am wrong. Is using plastic bottles not unsafe. Plastic will denature when exposed to sunlight and this way plant will absorb harmful chemicals from the container. Please share your thoughts around this.

I would say that if this is one of your concerns, be sure to at least use known bpa free bottles like the ones recommended in the instructions or experiment with another material. You will find many non-water bottle designs on the site if you explore tags to the right. Best of luck! -B
