Hello windowfarmers. Here are some photos of our window farm and check out our video. If you have any questions check out my previous posts or leave a comment. Last night I harvested some basil right from the window and made pesto. Love it!

and this is our spec on how our air pump lift works.

Nice one, I especially like your white plant holders.
Beautiful setup! What kind of pots are you using? Love them!! Thanks for the video post.
Love your setup !!!!! Looks just beautiful with happy plants. Your s hooks inspired me to go get my own. I have a (nylon cord chrcheted in a chait stitch) I have been tying the bottles to it. The s hookes are much, much easier. My setup may be about two months old and I am learning. Sylvia Manchester, Indiana USA
How did you get the inflation needle to stick into the air lift tube? We’re thinking of trying a version of your idea.
Hi Elana,
At 73 years old I have great difficulty getting around on the computer, but the effort has been worth it, learning all the wonderful things I have from fellow windowfarmers. If it is me you were commenting to, I am using the T lift now in an aquaponic setup, When I was using the needle – I cut into the thick tube with my exacto knife and the hole was so small and tight that it was quite hard for me to push the needle in (no leak there). When I pushed the T into the water deeper I had greater water flow, but that involved making the water deeper so the air did not go the wrong way. Brian White has a wonderful drawing somewhere of his T system and he has a good grasp on using the T. There are many diferent things to try. Sylvia
Sorry Elana – wrong comment here – but I could not erase it after I posted it. Good luck with your windowfarm Sylvia
ça tue!!!
What kind of pots are you using? My wife hate my bottles…
Hello.
I’ve trying your idea but watter don’t up more than 1 meter. Then she down…
I don’t know why that don’t work. I’ve try diferent galon of watter, I tried to increase and reduce the airflow in my pump… but nothing changes.
Have you got an idea please?
(sorry for my bad english speacking)
I there I love your set up. It is the main one that inspired me to make one. It seems to make the most sense being able to move the pots up an down. Like everyone else I am very curious as to where you got those little pots from. I’ve been trying to figure out what they are. Are the syrop bottles? Anyway would love to hear from you. Great job. Smart move on the s hooks, will use that for the second one I will put together, still working on the first
I can’t get the air lift to raise water more than 1 metre. Should it? If it should, what’s the trick? I have a 4 litre bucket, a 250mm length of submerged 18mm inch pipe with the air input and that exits up into an 8mm pipe. The system pulses about every two seconds with a surge of water/air up the pipe, but it’s very feeble.
is that hydro or dirt growing you have going on cause im only a dirt grower
meaning i only grow my stuff in dirt and not in water
