11:46 pm in made from scratch (without a kit), Other Cool Urban Ag. Stuff, Outside Farms, posts with pitcures!, Projects in Process by Sam Galope
It has been a month since I last posted. In this post, I’ll basically show how my windowfarm is progressing. Currently, I have eight (8) columns supporting forty-four plant cups. I have provision for another four(4) columns that can support twenty-four (24) plant cups.

Inventory:
- Kangkong
- Italian Oregano
- String beans
- Hot chili
- Bok Choi (Taiwan Pechay)
- Mustard
Enjoy!

Hi Sam,
Awesome – great setup!!! I have only 7 plants now at an inside window and you are an excouragement to me. My husband and I are retired and he does carpentry on the house – this windowfarm is strictly my work with the help of my son occasionally. My plants are small like yours, some even smaller. It looks like you are using chord to hang your pots from. My setup has nylon chord that I found among my sewing supplies. Happy windowfarming. Sylvia from Aurora, Indiana USA
very fine. This makes fun
I wish big success.
(PS: Beautiful red bottles, nearly as mine

Hi @sylviawoerner,
It’s so nice to hear from someone half a world away. I’d love to see your windowfarm and your plants. I hope you can publish some photos.
Thanks!
Sam
Hi @johaeben,
Thanks so much. I like your red bottles. It reminds me of a local beer here!
Cheers,
Sam
Wowww…sure looks great…also love the bottle colors!! Were they naturally red or did you paint them…and are you using dirt!?
I have yet to assemble a farm but it will happen soon…Thnx for the inspiration!!
Enjoy & Blessings ; ))
Hello @angeltech!
The bottles are actually clear PETs. I spray painted them fire hydrant red. I use coco-peat for my growing media because they retain moisture. I used to use pebbles only but It’s so hot in Manila that my plants dry out.
I hope you can post some of your photos too.
Thanks Roell
