how much water

Hi!
I am trying to work out how to build a system without a pump. I was wondering if anybody knows if it is ok to have water running over the plats constantly, and if not, how much water they need.
Thanks.
It is not OK to run your water constantly. If you do the roots of your plant will rot. Then your just going to grow mold after that. There is a fine line between too much and too little. The truth behind hydroponics it that you only want to give what is needed. you want the clay balls to retain moisture but also expose it to air. you can set your timer for 4-10 times a day depending on your humidity in the room, the drier it is the more time you can run your solution.
Not really a lot. Your basically looking for a constant drip over the plants.
