Can i use a Petco 4 output pump for a 2 column farm?

Wondering if anyone can help.
In the Petco near my house they have only have the 9904 pump (4 outputs) but not the 9902 pump (2 outputs).
I want to build a 2 column farm.
Can I buy the 9904 with 4 outputs and just use 2 of them? how will i block the other 2?
I have the same setup with a 9904 and only 2 column and I don’t do anything with the two unused ports.
I have the same setup. The fur outputs are fine. Better to have too much than not enough. Don’t cover the unused nes though. It will bog down the pump.

You can also connect two ports with t-valves.
Just checked up Petco site. And the 9904 seems to be out of stock or no longer for sale. Any suggestions or confirmation??
