pH rises all the time

The pH value of the water in my 9L reservoir keeps rising. A few times per day i measure the pH (with the cheapest pH meter i could find), find it somewhere between 7 and 8 and put in a sip of natural vinegar (not distilled i think) to get it back between 5.7 or 6.5.
I’ve put nutrients in the water, there’s metal containers holding the pots, and i used little pieces of rope to conduct the water to the next plant. Could any of these be dissolving? Or is something else happining?
And more importantly: Is this bad, and if so, what do i do about it?
Hi, I’m sorry I can’t help you with the pH problem, I have no idea. 7
I guess rinsing the system with several dozen litres of renewed water every 5 minutes for some time might help, but then again you allready did that, didn’t you?
But what’s this with the metal containers? can you show me some pics? This is a very intriguing idea ….
When you find a solution, please post it,
good luck!
Hi Gruener Daumen, I’ve posted a picture of several parts in this post:

I’ve got most of it up and running now, so i’ll post more pictures as soon as my camera (err… i mean girlfriend ;-> ) returns from vacation. (-:
