Web Site Usage – Comment Moderation
2:50 am in Uncategorized by Tony
Hey everyone… One thing I have learned about the site is that everyones comments are normally approved, but sometimes they get stuck in “Moderation” which means they are waiting to be manually approved. Blogs have a tough time with spam and it’s just trying to filter it out. However, if you are the original author of a post, you can go in and approve them yourself. As of this posting, there are 39 comments stuck in moderation and they go back to 4/16.
1. So take a look at some of your posts. Go to Manage Posts.
2. The orange flag off to the right indicates that there are some pending comments.
3. Go to edit your post and find the comments in question. The left hand option is to approve it. Once approved, the comments will show up in the public part of the blog.

This is another part of the website I can’t access. The browsers I’ve tried are Safari and Firefox, and I’m running OSX 10.6. Any suggestions for other browsers? I have boring meetings all day so looking busy while downloading software shouldn’t be a problem…
I do not think it is a browser issue. My guess is that there is a problem with your user account. The thing I noticed was when you look under your account it shows “Blogs(0)” and under it says “Sorry there were no blogs found”. If you look at any other member, it will say “Blogs(1) with the windowfarm.org blog under it. Worst case I would think you could just create a new account. I haven’t seen any replies to my questions from the WF folks.
hey, thanks! I will try that, and maybe keep this one as a remembrance of the good old days, á la “we hiked three miles uphill to school through the snow barefoot, and four miles uphill back home in the dark… and we liked it!”
Here’s my new account. Everything seems to work, I may have to go lie down for a bit to recover. Thank you so much for your help!
