Is there a group for desert and dry area food production? I'd like to see some people focus on the Sudan. We could establish contacts with NGOs and citizens of Sudan. I have 2 solar cooking developments that need input. The tracking solar accumulator needs verification and clam shaped solar cooker reflectors (for unattended solar cooking) work right now but nobody bothers to respond. I actually designed the clam shaped solar cookers specifically in response to a “need” or “wishlist” that solarcooking.org had on their website about 3 years ago. I get it accomplished and they have no plan to test or further the work!
In fact, nobody independently tests new solar cooker designs.
Absolutely ridiculous!
There is no plan B and no plan A either.
From anybody!
Hey guys-
I am really new to all this, but i have been doing a little digging about the Sudan situation and I found some interesting ways to grow using hydroponics. But the one I thought might be useful in Sudan would be the wick system.. Now, how to get the water to them….
