Just came across this fantastic idea on Daily Candy. I don’t live in the city – any city. I am lucky enough to live in a place where I can have a vegetable garden outside – but I don’t. I usually plant tomatoes, peppers and basil in pots on the deck in the summer, and suffer through the winter with bag-lettuce. I can’t wait to build this system – who wouldn’t love fresh lettuce in January?
