Yogurt cups, the Skyr brand anyway, are 3 inches across, same size as the net cups. Now the only think is to figure out how to put holes in them. The paper hole puncher, which goes through the water bottles, did not work on the yogurt cups. It’s too bad because it would have been a great way to make a netting on the cup. Maybe drilling holes will have to be the way to go, although I fear for my fingers.

You could probably use a razor knife – like a box cutter – to cut it in the same pattern as the net cups. Just be careful of your fingers.
Heat a nail and press it in. makes a great hole and no need for power tools and knifes. Do hope this helps.
Another way to make the holes in yogurt cups would be to clamp them to a work surface, bottom facing up for stability, and use a portable drill with at twist or brad point bit. By passing all the way through and out the other side you would get two holes each time.
You could use a soldering iron.
